WisCOMsin Awards
The Madison and Northeast Wisconsin chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced the winners of the 2026 WisCOMsin Awards. The sixth annual PRSA state awards recognize the top communications and public relations achievements in Wisconsin.
The WisCOMsin Awards, presented virtually on April 28, 2026,recognized organizations with project-based awards and included prestigious practitioner honors. Watch the full ceremony here.
“Each year, the WisCOMsin Awards shine a spotlight on communications and public relations work that makes a real impact,” said Morgan Snyder, president of PRSA Madison. “We’re proud to recognize this year’s award recipients and congratulate them on projects that reflect strong strategy, creativity and execution—qualities that continue to elevate our profession across Wisconsin.”
The highest-scoring project award entries earned an Award of Excellence.
The Madison area winners included:
· Crisis Communications: Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District for “Highland Ave. Sewer Project”
· Events and Observances: Overture Center for the Arts for “Big 2-Oh! Celebration”
· Internal Communications: Didion for “Ethics & Compliance Employee Survey”
· Nonprofit Organization Campaigns: Didion Foundation for “Strong Communities Golf Outing”
· Public Affairs and Community Education: Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District for “DRIIPS Communications Toolkit”
The Northeast Wisconsin winners included:
· Integrated Marketing Campaign: Emplify Health for “Children & Adolescent Center Opening”
· PR/Media Relations Tools: Red Shoes and Alegria Shoes for “Stepping Into the Spotlight: Alegria Shoes Earned Media Campaign”
· Special Events: Prevea Health for “Fall Into Confidence, A Prevea Plastics & Rejuvenation Event”
· Digital Tactics: Prevea Health for “Slaying Social Slang: Reimagining Primary Care PR”
· Open Campaigns: HSHS St. Vincent Hospital for “Cancer Centers Campaign”
· Other Tactics: HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and Prevea Health for “Making the Unseen, Seen: Illuminating Northeast Wisconsin’s First Use of CYTALUX”
Those selected for the practitioner awards included:
· Communicator of the Year
Angela Deja, director of public relations and communications for Prevea Health and Hospital Sisters Health System – Wisconsin Market
· Young Professional of the Year
Greta Gaworek, community engagement manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin
· PR/Communications Team of the Year
2025 NFL Draft Local Organizing Committee’s Communications Subcommittee, comprised of the following professionals:
